Oliver
Ian worked for BBC television for much of his professional
life, as camera trainee, cameraman, trailer producer, then producer,
director, executive producer and scriptwriter. He produced a wide
variety of programmes, but concentrated mainly on documentaries
and features. Some of them won awards from the British Academy of
Film and Television Arts. He has also worked for the Oman Television
Service where he was Executive Producer of all film output. One
of his documentaries won first prize at the Manila Film Festival.
In 1985 Ian moved to Singapore and started teaching his craft. He
still produces and directs from time to time if there's a complex
live studio, but most of the time he runs formal courses in television
production. He has also lectured at NUS and NTU and runs courses
in Media Awareness for people in all walks of life.
Kym Campbell
Kym is a broadcast specialist and his work in crisis communication, media communication and media production has ranked him as one of the best throughout the region. He has been a director and has worked in front of the camera himself as well as in theatres around the world. He has worked for the ABC and Seven network in Australia amongst others; Kym has extensive experience in teaching, broadcast production, performance and directing many kinds of programmes. Today, Kym has his own successful consultancy and also finds time to lecture in media, performance and directing as well as film directing at Ngee Ann Polytechnic film school and NUS. He is a member of Australian Screen Directors Association and has been selected to the prestigious CILECT in Europe for broadcast television training. He is still associated with the ABC in Australia, and conducts training for the BBC in the region. With a career in the industry spanning over 20 years, Kym still continually consults for the main television broadcasting networks, as well as being media advisor for international companies and identities.
