Gul Amir Khan
Gul Amir Khan, Singapore's Web User Experience Proponent and he is currently the Consulting Director of UserX Pte Ltd and co-founder of MicroUsability.com Pte Ltd.
He is also currently an adjunct lecturer at the Institute of System Science (ISS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) teaching Usability Testing techniques and Mobile Usability as part of the Masters of Technology programme. Gul has carried out user experience related workshops and projects in Singapore for MNCs (for example SingTel) and the Singapore government (for example MOM, IDA, Business.gov.sg, etc)
Gul possesses more than 9 years of experience in user experience research, design & testing and his objective is to provide measurable, high impact online business and design strategies.
At present he is working on the following areas:
- The 3 main Internet user behaviour personas and how this impacts on design
- Usability 2.0 Techniques
- Components of the User Experience
- Adaptive Design: Creating a personalised & unique user experience “on-the-fly” for each user based on “live” multivariate test data
His technical skills include information architecture design, navigation systems design, user-centric online writing techniques, understanding of the Internet user model and the ability to create designs that work for the beginner, intermediate and expert user.
