1. Is PR Academy part of
the Singapore Civil Service? The Academy is one of the departments of the Ministry of Information,
Communications and the Arts. The public sector is our main target
audience; but several of our programmes are also open to the private
sector.
2. What sort of courses do you conduct?
The Academy provides training courses in a variety of PR-and information
management-related courses. These range from media skills, speechwriting,
presentation skills, to public consultation, and web-based skills.
3. What is PR Academy’s forte?
The Academy’s forte lies in its in-depth knowledge of the
public sector and the PR environment, and communication trends.
This knowledge enables us to better customize courses that meet
a specific organisation’s needs and requirements , within
the overall public sector framework.
4. Are the PR Academy’s courses
value for money?
The Academy is a not-for-profit organization. Our rates are highly
competitive and in almost all instances lower than market rates.
All our trainers are practitioners and highly regarded in their
respective fields, and much sought after. We have stringent audits
to ensure that the quality of training provided remains at a very
high standard.

6. If I am not part of the Singapore
public sector, can I still participate in PR Academy’s activities?
Sure. Our annual PR conference is open to all participants who are
interested in signing up. There are also selected activities which
are open to participants from both the public and private sectors.
