Commissioning Corporate Books: Secrets Of Managing Successful Projects

Many government agencies commission authors/PR companies to write a corporate book about their organisation. More often than not, these are commissioned to document an organisation's milestones and achievements, or commemorate anniversaries and other special occasions. The finished product is born out of much deliberation, drafts, and discussions. Sometimes the final product may not be what the organisation actually had in mind.

Why does this happen? Is it due to a wrong brief to the author? Or is it because the book was commissioned for the wrong reasons? Perhaps it is because the author and the agency failed to understand each other's needs? Or...?

But the main point to note is this: If tomorrow you are tasked with producing a commemorative book, would you be able to select the right author and communicate your organisation's messages and objectives to the author, artists and designers so that the final product turns out as what your management or client had in mind? Are there some secrets that one can learn that will make the task a joy to deal with?

Ms Ilsa Sharp, as a renowned author of several commissioned books for Singapore agencies, will share her insights based not only on the knowledge of a craft that she does extremely well, but also on her experiences gleaned from working as a commissioned author. You will learn how to choose and appoint the right author, artists and designers; build strong working relationships with all concerned; and how to meet that all important deadline!

This is a rare opportunity not to be missed. So sign up now!
