"Building
Credibilty, Managing Reputation"
Our third conference
and was held on Friday 4 June 04 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront
Hotel. Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communications
and the Arts was the Guest-of-Honour.

and credibility issues, the one-day conference featured topics such
as "The Fragility of Reputation", and "The Sum of
All Intangibles - The Value of a Good Reputation", and two
case studies on the RSS Courageous incident and the Avian Flu.
Ms Sulosana Karthigasu, the Managing Director of
the PR Academy said, "Our annual conference is fast becoming
an important event for the PR fraternity in Singapore . As it is
a very practice-oriented event, PR practitioners are able to relate
better to the discussions and deliberations. Moreover, as the case
studies are based on local examples and events, they are more relevant.
Participants identify readily with the successes and learn to avoid
the pitfalls."
About 175 policy makers, senior civil servants,
government communicators, PR consultancy representatives, including
an overseas delegate from an Australian University attended this
year's conference.
