"Strategic
Communications: Perception Is Reality"
The PR Academy 2003 Annual Conference was successfully
held on Wednesday 20 August 03 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront
Hotel, Singapore. The theme of the conference was on perceptions
and the title " Strategic Communications: Perception is Reality".
About 200 local PR professionals attended the conference and took
part actively in topics of the day.

Mike McCurry, USA - Press Secretary to former President Bill Clinton (2003) provided a rare glimpse into how the White House manages global perceptions.

Executive Vice President of Brown Lloyd James and key member of
the PR team that helped Beijing clinch the 2008 Olympics bid gave
insights to how Beijing changed world perceptions and won the coveted
role of Olympics host.

- CEO of 8M Media & Communications gave a frank and candid view
of how the media shapes and has the power to shape perceptions.
· Sue Driscoll, Australia
- Former head of Social Marketing in Porter Novelli Australia showed
just how critical people's perceptions are in determining the success
